Caring Animal Rescue INC is an incorporated, non-profit 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(2) no-kill International rescue organization dedicated to reducing overpopulation, abuse, and neglect of domesticated animals.
Caring Animal Rescue INC is run entirely by compassionate like-minded individuals who volunteer their time and resources to help homeless animals and find them forever homes.

Adoption Policy
2024 Adoption Policy
We are strong believers that every animal deserves a good home, but we also believe that not every animal is right for every home.
We take the time to learn about an animal's behavior and match it with the lifestyle of potential adopters.
Adopters must fill out our adoption application, provide verifiable vet references, and agree to a screening, meet and greet, and an at-home visit.
All kittens will be adopted in pairs unless there is already an existing cat in the home.
Please note: Our adoption fees will vary.
Our Egyptian dogs and cats from our shelter in Egypt will always come with higher adoption fees due to vetting, health certificates, airfare, transport, and follow-up vetting.
Our Process:

We require applications to be completed in its entirety.
Any application with questions not answered fully will not be considered complete and will not be processed.
2. Please note that we are volunteers.
We do not have any paid staff.
All applications are processed outside of our normal non-rescue jobs.
An application does not guarantee approval of adoption.
Our decision is based on what is the best fit for our dogs and cats. We will call your references, landlord if applicable, as well as your vet and any other necessary calls needed in order to approve or deny an application.
3. Phone or email interview.
We will notify you if your application is approved.
4. Meet and greet - we will only schedule meet and greets for those who have passed steps 1-3.
We ask that you come to our facility for the initial meet and greet. If you have children, roommates, or other dogs, they must also be present.
5. Home visit/ Pet meet and greet - we want to make sure that all humans and pets are a good match! One of the best ways to gauge this is in your home environment.
Due to the requirement of home visits, we are currently adopting only 25 miles or less of our location. Distance is at our discretion as we must factor in gas and roundtrip travel time.
We are not currently adopting out-of-state.
We have chosen a small radius near our facility in order to provide support to our adopted animals and their new families.
Caring Animal Rescue Inc does not have any paid staff.
All monies, adoption fees, donations, etc. go directly to paying for the shelter and care of the animals in our rescue.
If all goes well at the home visit, the pet can stay and we will move on to step 6.
6. Adoption Finalization - sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee - we accept cash, checks, Venmo, or PayPal. Please note that there is a processing fee for PayPal and Venmo.
What does your adoption fee cover?
Dogs:
Age Appropriate Vaccinations such as Rabies ( must be 3-4 months of age determined by our vet.), DA2PP, and Bordetella.
Spay/ Neuter
Heartworm Snap Test for dogs 6 months and older.
Microchip
De-worming
Flea/Tick, HW meds, and antibiotics (if needed) while in our care.
Cats
Age Appropriate Vaccinations such as Rabies ( must be 3-4 months of age determined by our vet.) and FVRCP vaccinations.
Spay/ Neuter
FeLV/ FIV Snap Test
Microchip
De-worming
Flea/Tick and antibiotics ( if needed) while in our care.
