Dobie's Story

Dobie is the most handsome brindle boy ever!
He is a big boy, weighing in around 80-90lbs.

Dobie was found as a stray and brought to our local animal control in January of 2024. He was guesstimated to be around 8-9 months of age.
He joined our rescue on Valentine's Day of 2024.

Dobie is very energetic.
He will leap, jump and hug you if given the opportunity. He had very little impulse control. He will have bursts of energy but will eventually calm down during your walk. He is very food motivated and will takes treats gently.

Dobie was living in a facility with other dogs. He was not thrilled about it.
He was overstimulated and over rambunctious. He was not thriving in a daycare environment.

After almost 2.5 years, we made the decision that we needed to do more for Dobie. We wanted to give Dobie the best opportunity possible and have put him into a training program to learn about impulse control and master his basic obedience so he can thrive and live his best life. We are raising funds to pay for his extensive training but have paid out of our own non rescue funds to help him immediately. We are learning that he prefers female dogs.

We are blown away by the change in Dobie. He is thriving. He is making good decisions and learning the skills necessary for him to become a great companion dog. Whomever adopts him will need to agree to continue with his training program and must be approved by our training team.
We are so proud of him.

**PLEASE READ INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING AN ADOPTION APPLICATION**

Adoption Process

At Caring Animal Rescue Inc., we believe every animal deserves a loving home, but we understand that not every pet is the right fit for every household.
