Homebound Hounds
Our Mission
In 2024, 390,000 dogs were euthanized in California, the highest number in the past five years. (Shelter Animal Counts Database, 2025)
Overall, euthanasia is on the rise, which is why we established Homebound Hounds. We are a California-based dog rescue on a mission to save, foster, and find forever homes for at-risk dogs.
Our core team and volunteers are devoted to preventing unnecessary euthanasia while promoting public awareness of the overpopulation crisis. We invite you to join our cause, and ideally, one day, we will end capacity-based euthanasia once and for all.
Adoption Policy
The adopter must complete the adoption form, which the adoption committee at HH will evaluate. Once approved, a FaceTime appointment or in-person home check will be conducted before the meet and greet with the dog(s). At this point, the adopter will have the option to bring the dog home for a one-week trial period. The adoption can be finalized during the trial period with the contract signature and adoption fee collection.
