Our Mission
Calhoun County Humane Society (dba The Animal Shelter) is a 501c3 non-profit shelter for homeless pets located in Anniston AL. We receive animals from Jacksonville, AL animal control.
Â
Adoption Policy
We are open by appointment. Please inquire before visiting the shelter to make the right match. Please only bring small children after narrowing the field to a few dogs you want to meet in the outdoor play yard.
An approved application is required and most dogs will need a fenced yard. Tethering, chaining, and roaming are unacceptable.Â
All animals are vaccinated and will be spayed/neutered and microchipped (dogs) prior to leaving the shelter. This is a real bargain, as our adoption fee of $125 for dogs and $75 for cats is much lower than the average vetting bill!
