Meet Lexi
Lexi is a 9-year-old sorrel overo APHA with medicine hat, about 16hh.
She was well trained under saddle for trails. Very laid back demeanor.
She was recently adopted and is back with us again and looking for her forever home.
Here is a note from her last family:
"Today is a sad day for us. Lexi is being returned because she was just diagnosed with degenerative joint disease of the coffin joint of the front right foot and is suspected to have it in the left foot too. Very sad news because we wanted her forever home to be with us. With this news comes a lot of great qualities she has. She is gentle, calm, not mareish at all, easy to ride in or out of the saddle, road-safe, loves swimming and being sprinkled with the hose. She gets along well with other horses and is lower in the totem pole. She rides western and English and works off leg cues and neck reining. She doesn't get too sore riding in grass or sand at this point. She has good and bad days as far as lameness goes. On a bad day when she is sore she gets crabby. She tosses her head while working in the round pen and when ridden she gets very uncooperative. We wanted to use her for trail riding but the terrain would be hard on her. We can't say anything bad about her except for her feet and that is why this us hard for us. We hope her next forever home will love her the way we do."
Adoption fee $800 to an approved applicant.
