He may be a little shy when meeting new people and might bark at first, but once he knows youre a friend, hell happily shower you with love and affection.<br/><br/>Zulu would thrive in a home with a well-balanced, confident dog to help him feel secure. He gets along wonderfully with the dogs in his foster home and is both house-trained and crate-trained.<br/><br/>This handsome guy absolutely loves the water, so if you enjoy spending time by the lake, river, Zulu will be right there with you! And we cant forget to mention his adorable little underbite—it gives him the cutest smile.<br/><br/>Zulu is deaf, but dont tell him that—he doesnt let it slow him down one bit! Because he cant hear, quick movements can make him nervous, so he would do best in a home with older, respectful children who understand his special needs.<br/><br/>Hes the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. To ensure a smooth adjustment, we recommend establishing a consistent potty training routine to help create new habits and support their successful integration.<br/><br/>Please remember that all listed breeds are only our best guess based on appearance, traits, and behavior. Unless a dog has confirmed pedigree or DNA testing, we cannot guarantee breed makeup.<br/><br/>Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The adoption fees for puppies up to 12 months are a minimum donation of $650, (dogs too young to be fixed will have an extra $200 deposit, refundable pending your spay/neuter agreement), 1 year and up are a minimum donation of $550, 7+ years are a minimum $450 donation 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs. Meet and greets are by appointment only for approved adopters.<br/><br/>This pup is available in NY through the Go North Program of The Lucky Puppy Rescue, rescue based in Bonifay and Panama City, FL and adoption center in Argyle NY (NY Lic #1054). The minimum donation $650 adoption fee includes transportation from FL to NY, spay/neuter surgery or spay/neuter agreement (if too young), up to date with: age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention (if old enough) and martingale safety collar.
