Meet Ziggy & Zadie

Meet Ziggy and Zadie! This pair of littermates is only about eight months old to a year. They seem very bonded for as young as they are, so we are trying to keep them together. Ziggy the male weighs 8 pounds and Zadie the female weighs 6 pounds. They are sweet little Chihuahuas but a little timid as they haven’t been around a lot of different people. They did very well with her vet visit. They both had bloodwork and quick dental cleaning. They do OK on a leash but will need lots of practice to make walks fun and exciting. The good news is they are tiny so they are easy to carry everywhere. They seem to do OK on their house training and Potty Pads. They do very well in a crate when they are together.

Interested in becoming a forever home for Ziggy and Zadie? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application.

Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws.

We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Ziggy and Zadie.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Ziggy and Zadie the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.

Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.

All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.

Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
