Ziggy's Story

Meet Ziggy: a 12 lb, 2-year-old, poodle mix, who is equal parts cuddle bug and zoomie king.

Ziggy is obsessed with people and greets the world with tail wags, happy barks, and a whole lot of love. Once he says hello, he’s all kisses and snuggles.
His favorite place is right in your arms.

Ziggy lives for playtime and would happily run laps with a doggie friend for hours, then crash at your feet like the loyal little shadow he is. He’s confident, curious, and always ready for his next adventure, whether that’s exploring a new park or just chasing a toy across the living room.

He’s house-trained, eager to learn, and just getting started with basic training — so he’s the perfect mix of “ready to go” and “blank slate” for someone excited to bond and teach. He would thrive in a home with a yard and another playful pup to match his energy, plus humans who don’t mind a little joyful chaos mixed with a LOT of affection.

Ziggy is:
2 years old
12lbs
High energy: he needs at least an hour of walking per day plus playtime
Great with people, dogs and kids
A little nervous in the car
Still figuring out how to walk on leash but getting better everyday

Ziggy does suffer from separation anxiety and does bark for about an hour before settling down. He would benefit from someone who works from home and is dedicated to continuing training. Please note, because of his separation anxiety, we will not be considering any applicants in an apartment/condo.

*PLEASE NOTE: all of our dogs are fostered in Houston, TX, where our rescue is based. However, we transport to about 30 different cities in the United States, using one of our trusted transport partners, once an adoption is confirmed. We work with our adopters and transport partners to find a time and pickup place that works for everyone!

If you're interested in adopting Gemma, please head to www.pippyspals.com/adopt and fill out our adoption application. If our team thinks you could be a good fit, our Adoptions Director will email you to set up a Zoom call, the first step in our consideration process.
