ZEP's Story

Zep is a super-sweet pup who’s blossomed from a scared, feral stray into a loving, loyal companion. He looks like a mix of Shepherd and Shiba Inu or Jindo: compact and foxy, with soulful eyes.

When he first arrived, Zep was terrified of everything: people, doors, leashes, crates, even being touched. He used to back into things and hunker down into a tight little ball, frozen with fear. Now, when he sees me reach for the leash, he plops his butt down by the door and looks up, ready for his walk. He’s housetrained, loves belly rubs, walks and runs, and spends hours happily chewing on his toys or napping nearby once he feels safe.

Zep adores other dogs. He’s playful and gentle. Sudden movements still make him jump. He’s smart, adorable, and hilarious.

Zep would thrive in a stable home with someone who understands that trust takes time and wants a dog who’ll love them with his whole heart.

P.S. His foster mom is totally up for babysitting!
