Meet Zachariah (Zach for short), an active and playful beagle mix who is just over a year old. He likes going for long walks and is good on a leash as long as he knows what you want him to do. Zach also loves a sturdy chew toy or antler, and if you need help picking up sticks in the yard, he’s your guy!

Zach is completely house trained and crate trained, and he knows not to get on the furniture unless invited. (Though sometimes he gets excited and chases one of his foster sisters onto the furniture, and a quick “Off” reminds him to stay on the floor.)

Zach plays well with his foster sisters, and he would love another dog his size or larger in his forever home. Zach enjoys a good game of fetch and also likes to run and sniff outside supervised. But he also relaxes well inside, especially after a day of playing. Zach would be a wonderful companion for a family looking for an active, loveable friend to spend time with. He is smart and can learn so much more (especially if there are treats!) and deserves a family interested in continuing his training to keep him engaged and happy.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
