Meet Winter
Winter is about 3 years old, and currently in the low 40lbs range.
She has just arrived in our rescue, and we will be posting more updates as we get to know her better.
She is naturally a little aloof at first meeting, and can be slightly anxious when getting to know an unfamiliar environment, but given time, will warm up nicely, though she is quite independent in the home (as are many Jindos).
She was likely kept by her previous owners as a mainly outdoor dog, but has, in true Jindo style, shown she is perfectly house trained, and well able to live indoors - which we very much prefer!
She appears to get along with other dogs, but as with any dog to dog introduction, we'd recommend patience, caution and care.
We have not tested her with cats, other small critters, or children yet, but would expect her to have a normally high prey drive for smaller, wild animals (squirrels, rabbits etc) and again, would recommend caution with any introduction (regardless of the dog's breed).
At this stage, she is not terribly food motivated, and needs a patient, confident adopter who can help her navigate new situations (hard, slippery floors, elevators, strange vehicles etc). But she does walk quite well on leash!
