Wildflower's Story
Oh Wildflower

The shelter isn't a great place for any dog, but especially for a Pyr- they need room to roam and they need lots of outside time, two things that are not plentiful in the shelter. So when we saw Wildflower's video we said "we've got to take her!". So to Maine, she will come.

Wildflower is a 10-month-old Pyr mix. She would love a home with a fenced-in yard where she can spend lots of time outside in the fresh air. She's good with other dogs, but prefers dogs that will not be in her face. She's a big girl, as Pyrs are, at about 75 lbs. She's good with kids, poultry, and cats as well, according to the family who own the farm where she was found dumped. She is gentle and sweet and we know she's going to blossom once she's outside of the shelter. At the shelter, she waits to potty outside, which indicates that she is potty trained, although we always expect a few accidents when in a new home.

Wildflower is currently in AL but we hope to bring her to Maine in early November.

If you think you might be interested in adopting Wildflower or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website.
