When they received him he was quite anxious and emotional, but he has improved drastically over time with persistent love, care, and routine. However, Walter has been very attached and territorial with his new people which is not ideal when you have another dog and young children. So, Walter will really do best in a home where his adults are his own.
Walter does well at the dog park and in boarding. He just likes his home to be his own! Walter is super low maintenance, loves to relax on the couch, loves hiking, and gallops like a horse. He is very food motivated! He really is a fun guy if you want to be a one dog only home!
If you are interested in adopting, please click at the link below:
CRNE Adoption Application:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rjvYvkyGRug-gnCPcHFB49ksrZlQNlYQddGnkoVvNNA/viewform?fbclid=IwAR1Z3LWcB1HW2pncs-N64t1xdlD6Fm9P137xk6MErsLOE4ObXQ9erCAk-nM&edit_requested=true
Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own.
