Meet Veronica
Meet VERONICA
Rescued: 10/25/2020
Age at the time of rescue: 6 weeks
Current weight: 25 pounds
Needs a quiet, patient, and loving home. Good with dogs, and without. Fine with cats. Very sweet, but insecure.
They were sadly sitting in the sun when discovered in a box. A heartbreaking rescue, but they are all wonderfully playful and loving pups.
Did you know that black animals are often harder to adopt? Can you imagine being a black dog, who is also shy? Veronica is a true gem that just needs the perfect home to shine. Is that you?
Update; August 17.
Veronica is so sweet and learning to overcome her timidness. She has shown such progress in just the week she has been with us. She went from not knowing what a leash was to being able to take little walks up and down the driveway. She is nervous of new people and startles at quick movements. When she needs encouragement to meet a person or walk up the deck stairs, she responds well to hotdog pieces. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night as long as she is in the room with someone. When I leave the house she is crated, she fusses a bit but leaving on talk radio helps her. We are still working on house training, but it’s been five days with no accidents. She enjoys taking the toys out of the toy box and putting them in her bed as well as playing ball.
Veronica is a very sensitive girl who would do well in a quiet home where someone is often around. She deserves a home that will boost her confidence with lots of love and positive energy. She’s the perfect size, not too big, and not too small, she’s just right!!
Please give this girl a second chance at a wonderful life.
We are not first come first serve, but best match for each rescue. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we are an all volunteer adoption team. Thank you for considering a dog in need!
