Ursa - Foster Placement Needed's Story

Meet Me, Ursa!

Hi! I'm Ursa, a sweet 1.5-year-old Kangal and German Shorthaired Pointer mix. My siblings and I were found living in poor conditions inside a van in Mississauga, and we're currently part of an ongoing court case. Because of that, I'm only able to be placed in a foster home within Mississauga for now.

I'm a gentle, loving girl who enjoys playing, exploring, and spending time outdoors. I'm still learning my manners and could use some basic training—especially when it comes to walking nicely on a leash, since I get excited and tend to pull. In my previous foster home, I was very loved, but I grew too big for my family to comfortably handle.

I'd thrive in an active home where I can get plenty of exercise and room to run around. I get along with every dog I meet, so I'd probably love having a canine companion to play with. I'd do best in a home with children who are 5 years or older, and I haven't been introduced to cats yet.

If you're looking for a sweet, active, and affectionate companion, I can't wait to meet you!

If you would like to schedule an appointment to meet Ursa, please give the shelter (905-896-5864 option 3) a call to book and we will be happy to help.
