Tinto's Story
I’d make Tinto feel adaptable, social, and easygoing, while softening the “always by your side” language so he doesn’t come across as overly dependent.

Meet Tinto!

Tinto, affectionately known as “Little Buddy,” is a five-year-old, fifteen-pound charmer with a calm, easygoing personality and a whole lot of heart. He settled into city life remarkably quickly and has already proven himself to be quite the little New Yorker — relaxed on the subway, confident walking busy streets, and always happy to stop and soak up a little praise along the way.

Tinto is wonderfully social and enjoys meeting new people, welcoming guests, and spending time with his humans. He has a sweet, affectionate nature and absolutely lights up when someone tells him what a good boy he is.

He’s also great with other dogs. Tinto is happy to exchange a friendly sniff and then continue on his way, making him an easy companion for walks and potentially a great addition to a home with another dog. He’s calm and curious around the world around him, even taking the neighborhood pigeons completely in stride.

Tinto walks nicely on leash and is equally happy heading out for a long stroll or spending a lazy afternoon lounging in the sun. He’s mellow at restaurants, content to relax while his people work or cook, and can easily fit into either a moderately active or more laid-back lifestyle.

He is still perfecting his potty training and will benefit from a consistent routine as he continues making progress. Tinto is also learning that being home alone is no big deal and would do best with someone who can help him gradually build confidence with solo time.

His foster describes him as a dog with the biggest heart who lights up the second he gets attention and praise. Tinto has all the makings of a wonderful best friend: sweet, adaptable, affectionate, and very ready to find a family of his own!

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!
