Tilly's Story

Hi, I'm Tilly! I'm two years old, about 55 pounds and 23 inches of knee-high perfection. My best guess is that I'm a Harrier hound, or small English Foxhound-I'm stocky, with a beautiful square head, but I don't howl or even bark much. What I do have are the most gorgeous multicolored spots... and yes, I've been told I'm simply beautiful. I humbly agree.

During the day, I've settled into a classic hound routine: exploring the backyard, playing with my foster siblings, breakfast, a nice nap, walk time, and then repeating the fun until it's time to crash on the couch for the evening. I also sleep through the night outside of a crate, which I really prefer since I spent too many hours in one in my previous life.

True to my likely heritage, I love running the yard with my nose to the ground, catching scents like the little explorer I am. Adventure is definitely my middle name. I can't tell you exactly what my early life was like, but my foster family thinks I may have been a hunting dog who missed out on a lot of puppyhood-so now I'm soaking up the world with joyful enthusiasm and making up for lost time.

The good news is that I'm proving to be a wonderful companion. I ride great in the car, I am extremely affectionate and seem to love all people, and I'm great with other dogs. I've even done wonderfully at adoption events, happily meeting new friends and soaking up attention.

I'm still polishing a few skills in my foster home (think of it as finishing school!). This might be my first time being a true family dog.

The best part? I absolutely adore my people-hugs and pets are the best!

So if you're looking for a freckled, fun-sized explorer with a playful heart - who had a rough start in life likely in a kennel for a good part of it - and a whole lot of love to give, I'm your girl.
And remember - life's just better with spots.

Tilly is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.

The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.

PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system.

For more information, please email gpeace@petconnectrescue.org.

**If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
