Thor's Story
Meet Thor!

Thor is a 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix with movie-star looks and an even bigger personality. This handsome boy is still very much a puppy at heart and is looking for a family that can help him become the best version of himself.

When Thor first arrived at the shelter, he struggled to adjust to all the changes. However, once he was introduced to a canine friend, his true personality began to shine. Since then, he has shown us just how sweet, playful, and loving he can be.

Thors favorite thing in the world is toys! Whether its chasing, tugging, chewing, or carrying them around, he could happily play for hours. He also loves being outdoors and would thrive in a home with plenty of space to roam. A farm or a home with a large fenced yard would be ideal for this active boy.

At the shelter, Thor has not displayed any behavioral issues beyond normal puppy play-biting, and he responds well to corrections. We were informed that he may have some food-reactive tendencies, but we have not observed this behavior during his time with us, even when carefully testing boundaries around food. That said, behavioral challenges can sometimes reappear in a new environment, so we want potential adopters to be aware and prepared to continue working with him if needed.

Thor has not received formal obedience training, and while he is incredibly smart, he will benefit greatly from consistent training and structure. With patience, guidance, and positive reinforcement, we believe he has tremendous potential.
Thor previously lived with cats and children, though we have not tested him with either while at the shelter. As with any adoption, proper introductions and supervision will be important.

If youre looking for a loyal companion, adventure buddy, and all-around handsome best friend, Thor just might be your perfect match!
Apply to adopt him here — https://tinyurl.com/3z7krvyu

Thor would also love a foster home!
