THELMA's Story

Meet Thelma! Short. Squatty. Brindle and white. And approximately 27 pounds of pure Bulldog fabulousness!

Thelma is a young English/French Bulldog with an enormous personality, an even bigger heart, and an irresistibly adorable underbite. After being abandoned in a field in Oklahoma, Thelma arrived in rescue frightened, neglected, and struggling to see through severely affected cherry eyes. Following surgery to restore her vision and lots of patient, loving care, this little girl has absolutely BLOSSOMED!

**Thelma is discovering how wonderful life can be, and she's loving every minute of it!** She's affectionate, playful, curious, and hilariously entertaining. She loves squeaky toys, puzzles, snuffle mats, and supervising whatever her humans happen to be doing. She's settled into a lovely routine of playing, exploring, snuggling, and napping, with the occasional spectacular Bulldog zoomies thrown in for entertainment.

**She LOVES other dogs!** Thelma has been wonderful with dogs of all ages and sizes, including tiny puppies. She would enjoy a friendly, playful canine companion. She's also an extraordinary cuddler who believes personal space is wildly overrated. If you're sitting, she's snuggling! Thelma is intelligent, food-motivated, and making wonderful progress learning her manners. She's doing well with potty training on a consistent schedule, knows how to use a dog door, and is learning basic commands. Leash walking and car rides are still relatively new experiences. Because she missed out on so much during her early life,

Thelma needs a patient family committed to positive reinforcement training, enrichment, and helping her continue building confidence. She can be nervous in new places and situations, but she settles in very nicely when she feels safe. She's still learning appropriate play manners and occasionally needs reminders that not everything is a chew toy.

**We're looking for a family who will adore ALL of Thelma:** her sweet, sensitive heart, her wonderful personality, her goofy Bulldog antics, and the beautiful progress she's making every day. Thelma has already experienced what it means to be unwanted. Now she deserves a lifetime of knowing exactly how treasured she is. **Could you be the happy ending this incredible little girl has been waiting for?** Apply to adopt Thelma through Pawsitive Restorations Animal Rescue! www.pawsitiverestorations.com

Pawsitive Restorations Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
1. Read our adoption process at www.pawsitiverestorations.com 2. Complete an adoption application on www.pawsitiverestorations.com 3. Once an application has passed initial review, (and if they meet what we are looking for for the animal) a phone interview is held with the applicant to get a feel for what their home life/physical activity level/knowledge level etc are, and to guage if the applicant might be a good fit for the animal they wish to adopt 4. If the applicant and the animal appear to be a good match, a meeting will be arranged for the applicant to meet the dog in their foster home. 5. If the meeting goes well, and the applicant wishes to move forward with adoption, the applicant will place a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold the pet. A home visit will be performed to ensure the home is safe and appropriate for the pet being adopted. 6. Once the home visit is complete, you will meet with the Executive Director of P.R.A.R. to sign our adoption contract and go over medical/vaccine records. We will have a brief discussion about caring for this pet and keeping them safe. Your new pet will be on-site and ready to go home with you once the adoption meeting is complete and all documents have been signed. This meeting typically takes about 30 minutes – We ask that you please be prompt, as we typically have several appointments scheduled back-to-back. If you are late, we may have to reschedule your adoption. Please leave young children at home. They get really bored and can be very distracting while we are trying to talk about super important stuff ?
