Teddy's Story

Meet Teddy, a high-energy bundle of joy who is ready to bounce right into your heart! Like his friends, Teddy was welcomed into our care thanks to our wonderful partners at Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Care Center after being found as a stray. This young, enthusiastic pup is a non-stop engine of fun, bringing big play energy and endless enthusiasm to everything he does. While we don't know his past history, one thing is certain: life with Teddy will never be boring! A Fresh Chapter: Transferred from Thomas J. O'Connor as a stray, ready to embark on life's next big adventure with you. High-Octane Fun: Young, playful, and packed with energy, he'll need plenty of daily exercise and fun activities to keep his mind and body moving. Playtime Enthusiast: Always up for a game of fetch, running around the yard, or exploring new hiking trails. High-Maintenance Handsome: To keep his coat looking and feeling its best, he will require professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks for life. Stop by the shelter this week to meet Teddy in person, join him for a fun play session in the yard, and see if he's the energetic partner you've been searching for! Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are available to meet by appointment.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you're ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events.
