Taz's Story

Meet Taz!

Taz is an 11-year-old senior who is looking for a loving home to spend his golden years.

Taz recently lost his beloved owner unexpectedly. After spending his entire life with the person he loved most, he is now facing the difficult transition of starting over. We are determined to help him find a home where he can feel safe, loved, and secure for all the years ahead.

Taz is a gentle, well mannered boy who is house-trained, crate-trained, and friendly with other dogs. He has poor vision, but is otherwise healthy and continues to enjoy life. He is a cat-chaser, so he will need a home without cats.

There are so many wonderful things about adopting a senior dog. Seniors already know who they are and what they like. They have established personalities, routines, and often a collection of endearing little quirks and habits. They are past the puppy stage and generally aren't looking to spend their days bouncing off the walls. Instead, they're often perfectly content to enjoy a comfortable bed, a predictable routine, and plenty of time with their people.

But don't tell Taz he's a senior, you would never know it! He's a playful as any younger dog.

Taz is looking for someone who will appreciate him for exactly who he is and who will love him not despite his age, but because of it. He has so much life and love left to give, and he deserves to spend his remaining years as a cherished member of a family.

Losing his person wasn't supposed to be part of Taz's story.
