Dear Santa Paws,
What is the meaning of Christmas? Is it family? Is it presents? Is it making great memories? Is it decorating? You will have to help me out here. I was told to write to you, but I am not entirely sure why. You see, I spent all my life growing up in a small pen. So, I have had a lot of firsts after coming into rescue. Like riding in a car, having a leash put on me, getting to come inside, and the list goes on and on.
What I do know is that I have been in rescue for 40 days. The other dogs keep telling me how amazing it is to have a home for Christmas and hope that I find a home before then. Since I have never gotten to spend Christmas with a family, and actually this is my first Christmas ever...I am curious to see if it is what everyone makes it out to be.
From what I have gathered, people gather around the Christmas tree come Christmas morning. Kids are laughing, and us dogs usually have a little something under the tree to. Our owners cook us some yummy food, and give us lots of lovings. Christmas is chasing after the kids while they play outside, and lounging by the parents feet while they enjoy some coffee. All of that sounds amazing Santa Paws, do you think that is in my future?
I am about 9 months old and a Great Pyrenees mix. I am potty trained, but am very curious. I tend to get into just about everything, much like a toddler(see photo below). I don't really mess anything up, but I just want to figure out what it is. I love playing with other dogs, and definitely need one in my new home. I also do good with cats and kids.
My foster says that I am sure to bring lots of silliness, laughter, and love to my new home. I can say she is very right. I have learned a lot and continue to learn new things each day!
