Meet Stormy

Stormy hasn’t had the best start to life and has already been bounced through at least 3-4 different homes. She is just a puppy at 5-6 months old and weights 50-60lbs. She is nearly full bred Great Dane with a touch of mastiff and shepherd. We estimate that she will be Large (80-100lbs) to extra large (101lbs+) in size as an adult.

She is typical for her age, playful, loves other dogs and kids, hasn’t met a kitty, loves to take naps and eat puppy snacks.

Her story began of course with whoever bred her in Texas. She was sold to a home where the resident dog did not like her so she was given to a home who already has a few Great Danes. She was super skinny and full of parasites when this family took her in. However, this family also has two very young little children on top of now (3) large dogs. This quickly became too much for the family and Stormy to handle. Due to Stormy’s size and needs she will need to go to a home without children under 10yrs old. She will very likely accidentally knock over small kids and needs kiddos who will respect her space and not try to poke/prod her while she’s resting or ride her like a horse.

Stormy is doing well with house/crate/leash manners, but of course needs continued training in these areas as all puppies her age.

With big dogs comes big poop and looots of food! Please be sure that you are physically, mentally, and financially prepared to take on the addition of a new puppy, especially one Stormy’s size.

** Please research/Google the breed you are interested in before determining if they are a fit for your home. Great Danes are often goofy and don’t know their size, so they may run into things/knock them and kids over, often sweet and playful, smart, and fun loving dogs. Being this large the breed comes with more potential health risks than the average dog, such as bloat, earlier arthritis/joint issues, heart disease and more. **
