STELLA - pure love

STELLA is what we call the unicorn of schnauzers, let alone rescue dogs! Who says you can't rescue your favorite breed? Stella is a testament to this. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous (we have never seen a schnauzer this color) has an A+ personality BUT she is also a rescue!<br/><br/>Stella is about 23 lbs and a little over 4 months old. We cannot guarantee her breed but she looks like she is nearly a pure bred schnauzer! Her story also points to that being the case (see below).<br/><br/>She is great with other dogs! She is currently being fostered in a home with 4 other dogs of varying sizes and is great with all of them. <br/><br/>Stella is is a VERY happy dog. Her foster says she is so so so sweet. A total LOVE! She is basically textbook for a happy, sweet puppy who loves to play!<br/><br/>She loves the toys she has been given, from bones to squeaky toys, you name it - she loves them all!<br/><br/>While we have not seen her ourselves around young children, we have no doubt she would be great with them given her personality! She is just so incredibly happy and sweet.<br/><br/>HER STORY: Stella was bought from a breeder by an elderly couple who quickly realized they did not want a puppy. They put the puppy up for adoption (they were basically giving the dog away on Facebook) and a teenager decided to take her in, with all good intentions. The issue is that this girl did not discuss that decision with her parents who are in an apartment that does not allow dogs and told their daughter to get rid of her quickly. She put the dog up for free locally, advertising that she would also come with 2 bags of dog food as a perk. Many people wanted her given how she looked and the fact that she is a breeder dog. A rescuer we work with that happened to be related to this girl stepped in to help and asked if we would assist in getting Stella a proper and responsible adopter. Of course we said yes. <br/><br/>**PLEASE NOTE: Stella is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once she is adopted!
