Meet Starsky-Paws in Prison Participant

Starsky, 2 years old, Catahoula Spitz mix Adoption fee $250
Starsky is one cool dude, and he knows it. Looking for a dog that jumps in your lap when you walk through the door? Well Starsky isn’t that dog. He is prefers just to hang back and take it all in. Then he lets you know, everything is okay.
Careful, Starsky's playful nature and cookies n' cream coat might steal your heart! He could be the perfect addition to your home if you are looking for an intelligent and energetic dog. He currently spends his days running and playing with his foster siblings but is looking for a family of his own. Starsky plays very well with other dogs despite occasionally guarding his toys and bed from the others. He would make a loving companion for someone special.

Be on the lookout for Starsky's partner in crime, coming soon to our page... can you guess his name?

Starsky is in the Paws in Prison program where dogs receive obedience training. This dog is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on 10/10/20. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive their training journal. This journal documents everything from entering the facility, daily training progress, and interactions with trainers.
