Starbucks is ready to share her story! ?

Hey folks, Starbucks here! I am an 8 week old female German Shepherd potentially mixed with some Great Pyrenees. I am a very sweet girl and will top out somewhere in the 50-80lb range. At least that is my best guess so far. I came to the rescue with my siblings after we were dumped out in the county. Yep, you heard me right...dumped. Thankfully, some kind people witnessed it and reached out for help, and we ended up here!

Now that my foster family has gotten to know me it is time to start the search for my forever family! ♥

While I am super excited to find my forever family, I do not want to rush into anything. I want you and I both to be sure that we are a match! To help with that, I had my fosters fill out this questionnaire about me.

-How does your foster act when meeting new people?
She loves people.

-Does your foster jump on people?
Yes, your typical puppy jumps right now when she wants lovings/attention.

-Has your foster been to any public settings?
No, not yet...she has not had all her vaccinations yet.

-Does your foster like going on walks?
Too young for walks.

-Do you think your foster would enjoy going for hikes?
Probably when she gets older. Too young to say for sure right now.

-Is your foster leash trained?
No.

-How does your foster do on car rides?
She does well.

-Describe your fosters energy level?
Very active and playful.

-Is your foster a big chewer?
Yes, typical puppy chewing.

-Does your foster like to play fetch?
She will chase a toy, but hasn’t learned to bring it back yet.

-Does your foster like to play in the water?
Unknown.

-Does your foster play with Toys?
Yes.

-Do you think your foster would be okay with free-roam of the house even if you are away?
No, not yet.

-Does your foster have food aggression?
When really hungry, she has growled at her brother when they try to eat out of the same bowl.

-Does your foster resource guard?
No.

-Is your foster good with other dogs?
Yes.

-How does your foster act around other dogs?
Playful.

-Does your foster need another dog in their new home?
It depends on the energy level of her new family and how often they are home.

-Is your foster good with cats?
Unsure. Given how young she is, she should be fine with proper introduction.

-Is your foster good with kids?
Unsure. Given how young she is and that she has sharp teeth and claws still it is recommended that they be older.

-Where does your foster stay when no one is home.
Kennel.

-Is your foster potty trained?
No, but working on it.

-Is your foster kennel trained?
Kennel.

-Where does your foster sleep at night?
Crated in the bedroom with us.

-Would your foster dog do good in an apartment?
Probably. It would depend on how often her new family is home and their activity level.

-Is your foster a big barker?
No.

-What would be your fosters ideal home?

One that is a good mix of playful and calm. She would love to have a doggie playmate and someone to show her the ropes. However, if her new family was home a lot and enjoyed being active she would probably fit right in as well.

-Is there anything else you would like to mention about your foster dog?

Starbucks is small but mighty! She is very active and playful. We call her the energizer bunny. She is independent and isn’t afraid to go off exploring by herself. She has learned to walk the fence line from our adult Pyr mix. She will do it on her own when he is not out in the yard with her. She is doing well learning one-word commands. Starbucks loves tummy rubs and is quite the little sweet pea.

-How can someone adopt me?
The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in McAlester, OK.

-Would I need to come to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home! ?

-Can I adopt you even though I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yep, I am not opposed to living in another state!

-How much is your adoption fee?

My adoption fee is $275.

That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
