Stacey's Story
Meet Stacey, a three-year old Great Pyrenees who was surrendered to SCAS after her owners' living situation changed. She is in need of a Pyrenees-savvy and/or dog-savvy home who can help her come out of her shell and provide her with the confidence and space that her breed requires.

Stacey is overwhelmed by the shelter environment and has tested fine with other dogs here at shelter and would likely benefit from a canine companion to help show her the ropes. We do not know how she does with cats and she has lived with children although we believe older kids may be best for her.

Great Pyrenees are livestock-guardian breeds who require a lot of space and a job to keep them satisfied. We highly suggest any potential adopters to research the breed if you do not have previous experience with the breed or a LGD breed.

Stacey's adoption fee is $45 and adoptions are first-come, first-served. Picture ID/current address verification is required at the time of adoption. Please bring any other canine residents for a meet-and-greet.
