Meet Squish
LOCATION: Frisco, Texas
DOB: 01/10/2023
I wish, I wish, I wish for fish. No wait, that’s not right!
I wish, I wish, I wish for Squish. Yuppers. That’s better. (I had my rhyming words all mixed up.)
You guessed it-I’ve been named Squish. My little foster sister sawed me on the firstest day and said that was my name and it stuck like peanut budder.
Being at my foster home is the bestest time of my life-way funner than being in the shelter. Here I get to run and jump and play, play, play. There’s small hoomans to play with and big hoomans to play with. I noticed the biggest hoomans are the ones to help me the mostest to be a good dog. They use nice, but firm, words to correct me when I do silly puppy things. I can get easily subtracted-I mean, easily distracted-cuz I still have a puppy brain.
Sometimes I forget that my inside water parts (and the other stuff that rhyme with goo) need to be emptied in the tickly greenest stuff outside. But I’m getting better at it and my foster mom is patient with me and says I’ll have the strongest inside parts in no time.
Did you know that there’s furry rats and frogs at my foster home? Arghh…I did it again. CATS and DOGS!! The cats I likest to bother but I wouldn’t hurt one. My mom says I’m “persistent”-whatever that means. The dogs are great cuz they playest like me. But if they don’t want to play, I can entertain myself.
My foster mom already teached me to sit. I got an A plus on my star chart and I was proudest of that. I already got goodest grades on going in my kennel and not crying, going in my kennel when I’m tired, and going outside and coming back inside without fussing.
I like to follow my foster mom around the house. She says I’m stuck to her like Velcro. She’s so nice to me so I try my bestest to show her I love her back. I think my heart is the bestest inside part I have cuz it’s full to the brim with happy feelings and it never gets empty. I think no matter what home I’m in, my heart will be just as flappy. Ach. Happy!
