Meet Spencer
Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on Petfinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application.
Our ADOPTION application is found at www.seniorhearts.org Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. Please select "More About Us" for further details on our adoption requirements. You can meet a dog ONLY after we have completed our adoption approval process.

And now a little about our bubbly Spencer...
Spencer is a 12 year young, 30 lbs. beagle.
Despite having arthritis, she's full of spunk and isn't intimidated by mile-long hikes, steps, or jumping on couches. She loves being petted but isn't needy and is content lying in the softest bed in the house.
Spencer will need to continue to work towards her weight loss. In true beagle fashion, she is very curious about food on the counter (luckily she's too short of reaching most things). She is crate trained but does tend to bark when left alone.
Spencer would love a home where she is able to kick back most of the day but also get daily walks so she can live up to her beagle potential. She'd love to have her own stuffed toys and lots of enrichment to help keep her entertained.
He can be adopted within a two-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA. If you are interested in giving Spencer a furever home, you must first complete the adoption application at www.seniorhearts.org
