Meet Sophie - Adopted
Approximate age / weight: 7 months old/30lbs
Good With Kids: Yes, but Sophie is a puppy and still learning on what's appropriate to chew on and what's not.
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: Unknown
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands: Sophie knows 'sit' and is very food motivated which makes training easy and fun
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Sophie is a very active puppy who will need exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy.
Special Needs: None
Arrival story: Sophie was surrendered to a local veterinary office after her family realized they could not take care of a puppy. Sophie was starved and emaciated and needed emergency vet care. Once given enough fluids and stable enough the vet office contacted WT for help. Our volunteers could not say no to this little cutie and into a foster home she went!
Personality: Sophie is your typical playful puppy. She is very curious about her environment and loves chewing on her toys. She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home and will even try showing them that she's the boss. Sophie appears to be a very confident little girl who loves to cuddle. Sophie will definitely benefit from positive, treat motivated obedience training.
Forever home: Sophie is a typical puppy who will need to learn boundaries and have obedience training. Sophie was starved and neglected and needs a forever home who will show her that she is safe and loved. She appears to fit into many family situations and wouldn't mind a doggie playmate or just being an only dog getting all the love and attention.
