Meet Sofia
Sofia, female corgi/chi mix, 8 years old, 12 lbs
Sofia is a 8 year old, 12 pound, happy, cuddly, and affectionate girl. She gets along with both dogs and cats. She has good manners, walks well on a leash, and sleeps through the night in her crate, though she would prefer to sleep with her human. She is playful and loves small squeaky toys and balls. Due to lumbar spine disc issues, she does have hind end weakness. She walks well on most surfaces but is not speedy. Due to short stature and disc disease, she cannot do more than a few steps but is happy to be carried. She is housebroken but due to her spine condition, she doesn't always sense the need to urinate and may dribble. She wears diapers when her foster leaves the house. She does need her bladder expressed several times a day to ensure she empties completely. Her foster reports this is quite easy to do. Sofia is heartworm positive and currently under treatment. Once complete, she will need a dental and spay. She otherwise is in great health and doesn't let her spine condition or heartworms stop her from enjoying life.
