Snowball's Story

Meet Snowball, a 70-pound gentle giant who is basically one big marshmallow with legs.

Snowball is a female Great Pyrenees, just under 1 year old and already spayed. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and fantastic with kids, including a 3-year-old in her foster home who she loves following around.

She also does great with other dogs. She can be a little shy at first with very high-energy pups, but warms up quickly with a polite introduction and loves to play. She also does well with the senior dog in the home.

Snowball rides well in the car, does well in a crate with something to keep her occupied, and was amazing for her bath.

She has not shown food or toy guarding. We were told she has been around cats, but that exposure was limited, so slow and supervised introductions would be important.

Please note: Because Snowball is a Great Pyrenees, we are requiring a securely fenced yard for her safety. This breed is known for roaming and patrolling their territory.

If you are interested in adopting Snowball, please complete an application:

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog

Her adoption fee is $450.

The adoption fee helps cover spay or neuter when applicable, transport from Texas, core vaccines, heartworm testing when age appropriate, deworming, microchipping, and other rescue expenses.

Every adoption also includes a complimentary First Exam at a participating VCA Animal Hospital within the first 14 days, along with limited health coverage of up to $250 for certain minor illnesses diagnosed during that period.

We do not guarantee breed, adult size, or exact mix. Breed listings are our best guess based on appearance and known history.

Paws Deep Animal Rescue is a nonprofit rescue. Any excess funds from adoption fees are used to help care for other dogs whose rescue, medical treatment, transportation, and ongoing care costs far exceed their individual adoption fees.

Paws Deep Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step to adoption, once you have identified a pet you would like to adopt, is to fill out an adoption application. You can speed up the adoption process by calling your vet ahead of time to give us permission to speak to them in regards to your current and past pets. You will be contacted to schedule an interview and a meet and greet after the adoption contract is approved.. We will need proof of age with a form of ID. Once we have gotten approval that you are allowed to have pets where you live, your adoption application is approved, the pet is altered, and adoption payment is received, only then will the animal be released. Some pets may be able to go home the day after adoption contract is approved others it could be a week. If the animal is deemed too young to be altered we will have the adopter sign a spay and neuter contract. The animal will need to be neutered when it is 6 months old and we will need proof provided to us by a licensed veterinarian. Once there is proof provided, the rescue will reimburse $100 of the adoption fee. If there is more than one qualifying approved applicant that is a match then the applicant who first inquired will get the opportunity to meet the pet and decide if they want to adopt before it goes to the next person in line. Note: Some animals will require home inspections or a fenced yard. Applying for a dog does not mean automatic approval. We reserve the right to deny applications. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_j7Qyk269a7uzMcOh1Ffx3PU9femw7Xd3t-Nj8TOfBE/edit Follow us on TikTok: @pawsdeepanimalrescue
