Snoopy Black Labrador Retriever Mix Cincinnati, OH

Hi everyone! My name is Snoopy, but my foster family sometimes calls me Smoochie because I like to give so many pupper kisses. I am a year old lab mix who is pretty much all done growing, so I won’t really get any bigger than the 60lbs I weigh right now. My foster mom says I am a super special little guy that will need a super special home.

Before the awesome people at HART rescued me, some not very nice things happened, and because of that, I get a little nervous about certain stuff- like crates for example. I’m not a big fan of those things. I can go in them for a little bit, but anything more than 3-4 hours is just a little too much for me.

I want to be with my people and would do best in a home where there is someone around most of the time so I can keep them company. I can also be a little nervous around other dogs, and I’m kinda picky about who I will hang out with. I might be ok in a family with other furry friends, but might also be just as happy being an only child too.

My foster mom says she recently started giving me some medicine every day to make me less nervous, and so far it’s working really well! I’m super duper smart and would LOVE to learn anything and everything I possibly can from a trainer, so I’ll need a person/family who wants to learn cool stuff with me. One last thing I should mention is that I have a little ouchie on my elbow. The dr says it’s something called elbow dysplasia and although I don’t let it slow me down one bit right now, I do sometimes limp if I overdo it, and will need some medicine every day to keep me at my peak puppy playing potential. My foster mom says that I may be a small guy, but I have a big heart full of love to give!!
