Smith - million dollar baby! Pit Bull Terrier Mix Marietta, GA

Smith our cute little hippo - is such a sweet boy. He had a forever home with the founder of Homeless Pets but sadly his daddy, Dr. Good, passed away.
He is now a homeless pet again. Some dogs do better in the shelter life, but Smith is not one of them. He was in the shelter before Dr. Good adopted him and he remembers it too well. He is sad because he does not understand what happened to his daddy. He does not know why he is back. Smith is around 8 years old-the most perfect pup age. Smith is a big and beautiful boy with eyes to melt your heart and soul. Smith would love soooooo much to be in a home again where he can relax and chill like a cucumber with his new parent(s).
Smith originally came to HPF with two broken back legs in 2013. He came into a cash-strapped Fulton Co. Animal Shelter, the outlook seemed bleak.  The dog, who they named Smith, was such a trooper and seemed so happy, and otherwise healthy, they resolved to try and do everything they could to
help him. Many phone calls later, a rescue team was in place.  Homeless Pets Foundation's veterinarian provided the location, shelter and aftercare, Johnson & Johnson provided medical supplies and two human orthopedic surgeons from Atlanta Medical Center performed the surgery to mend Smith with implanted metal plates and screws.

Smith, the would-be million dollar dog, is completely recovered and you would never know he was every anything but perfect!.
This is so heartbreaking that he is back and having to live at the shelter yet again. Please help us find this gentle giant a home.
