Hi there! I'm Skye ☁️🐾<br/><br/>I'm a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd/Jack Russell Terrier mix with a gorgeous mostly white coat splashed with gray merle patches, and I weigh about 24 pounds. People always say I'm as soft as a bunny -- and honestly, they're right. 🐰✨I'm a fun-loving, energetic little guy whose battery is always fully charged. Running, playing, exploring, zooming around the yard -- those are my specialties! I would absolutely thrive with an active family who enjoys walks, hikes, adventures, or lots of playtime to help keep both my body and brain busy. I'm a smart boy with lots of energy and personality packed into one fluffy little package. 🎾💨I walk wonderfully on a leash and really enjoy getting out to explore the world. I'm also fully housebroken, crate trained, and know how to use a doggie door when I have access to one. I'm a very clever fellow and love having structure and routine. 🐶✨<br/><br/>I do great playing with other dogs in neutral places like parks, walks, or hikes, but when it comes to home life, I'd really prefer to be the only dog in the household. Earlier in life, I spent a lot of time hungry and struggling as a puppy, and because of that I developed some resource guarding behaviors around food and valued items. My shelter friends want to make sure I end up in the perfect home where my boundaries are respected and understood so everyone stays happy and safe. 💛 I absolutely love kiddos and am very sweet with people, but because of my guarding tendencies, I'm best suited for a home with children 12 and older who can understand my space and respect my boundaries. I also do wonderfully with the elderly and truly enjoy being around my humans.
