Name: Shorty
Weight: 58 lbs and 16 inches tall
Age: 2 1/2 years old
Gender: Male
Breed: mixed
Color: Black & Tan

Good With Adults: Yes.
Good With Kids: No.
Good With Other Dogs: Yes.
Good With Cats: Seems fine.
Crate Trained: Easily.
Housebroken: Yes.
Energy Level: Average
Can be handled/touched: He does fine. May need to be muzzled when going to the vet.
Barker: Yes!
Escape Artist: No
Food Aggressive: No
Walks on Leash: Walks on leash: yes but pulls and is also leash reactive to cars, bikes and people. He is not doing so aggressively but he will need an owner willing to work on this.

Backstory: We got the call on Shorty because he snapped at some children. He has shown the same here at the shelter. Best we can come up with is that maybe a child was mean to him or something when he was a pup. Otherwise, Shorty loves people and attention. He also loves to Bark. A lot! He is very sweet and can eat so much!

Foster notes: Shorty is a very sweet boy who is great with adults. He loves to give hugs and snuggle. However, Shorty is not good with children and will need a child free home. Young applicants who may have children in the future will unfortunately not be considered for him as the last thing we would want is for the home dynamics to change years down the line and Shorty to be returned through no fault of his own.
