Meet Shirley Temple

Meet Shirley

Shirley came to our attention from a BARC plea of two sweet babies that were found abandoned, crated with no food or water, left for days after her previous owner moved out of the apartment, leaving behind the two most precious lives. Our sweet girl Shirley was scared and very confused about why anyone would do this to her but still just the sweetest baby ever.

Shirley had to languish in the shelter for months while the cruelty investigation went on with her “owners” then after all of that found herself on the short list!

We instantly snatched her up, took her to our amazing vet and started showing her what unconditional love looks like!

Shirley is a petite, pittie mix. She is very sweet but still a little cautious, but who wouldn’t be after her ordeal! She will nuzzle you bury her head in your lap and when she gets in just the right spot, she’ll start snorting. Shirley rides great in a car and just cuddles up in a ball next to you and raises her head from time to time for some pets. This sweet baby is so gentle and patient. After her life, she will still just walk into a crate with no problems and sit patiently for her turn to come out. She is great playing with other dogs. You can see her tender little heart she wears on her sleeve even after everything she has been through! She is in boarding now, but it would do wonders to get her into a foster home quick so she can continue to see that this new nice life is forever!

If you are interested in adopting or fostering our little Shirley contact us right away at info@scoutshonor.org. Scout's Honor Rescue covers all costs associated with fostering including vet care, providing a crate and monthly heartworm and flea prevention. We will also provide a tax deduction receipt for foster's own documented expenses relating to the Scout's Honor Rescue dog being fostered
