Shaggy's Story

Meet Shaggy!
Shaggy is a mystery dog. We aren't sure what breeds he is but he looks like a Dachshund/Poodle/Schnauzer. When he came to us, he was very matted and had to be shaved down. His hair is very curly like a poodle. He has a cropped tail like a Schauzer. But once we shaved him down, he looks like a dachshund.
He will need regular grooming.
He is a very sweet dog with lots of good attributes. He walks well on leash and loves a good walk. He is potty trained. He is also a lap dog.

He would shine best as an only dog.
While he does play with the other dogs here, he refuses to share food and it can be a problem at meal times. We feed him in a kennel.

He is about 2.5 years old and 15 pounds.
Apply to meet him!
Please apply on our website: https://centraltexaslittledogrescue.org/

The person first applies, then we vet check their current pets. Then a phone interview. Then they come and meet the pet they are interested in. If that goes well, we take the pet to their home and make sure the fence will hold the dog. If the fence/home check is good, then the contract is filled out, adoption fee paid and the dog stays with the adopter.
