He was originally born right here in our rescue and named Austin, but he was adopted out as a puppy to a family who loved him. Sadly, a year later, his family's circumstances changed and they were no longer able to care for him, bringing him back into our rescue family.<br/><br/>Scratch has grown into a beautiful, loyal, and energetic young dog who is ready for a fresh start. He combines the sharp intelligence of a German Shepherd with the playful, adventurous spirit of a Malamute.
