Love's Legacy Rescue
Our Mission
Love’s Legacy Rescue was founded in Northern California, built on a lifelong passion for helping animals. Inspired by stories of rescue and justice from shows like Animal Precinct, our founder knew from a young age that she wanted to make a difference for animals in need.
That passion became deeply personal in 2020 with the adoption of a sweet English bulldog named Love. Though full of joy and personality, Love struggled with unexplained health issues from the beginning. Despite tireless efforts and extensive veterinary care, including major surgery, she passed away after just a year and a half. Her loss was heartbreaking but also transformative.
Around the same time, the overwhelming crisis in animal shelters came into focus. Healthy, adoptable dogs were being euthanized simply because no one was coming for them. The fight to save Love’s life made it impossible to ignore the thousands of other dogs who also deserved a chance.
Love’s Legacy Rescue was created in her memory, driven by the belief that every dog matters. We are a small, dedicated rescue focused on saving dogs at risk of being forgotten—medical cases, large breeds, and those failed by the system. Every life we save is part of Love’s legacy.
