Scooby has bounced around a few places throughout his life and is looking to find a permanent place to land! He would do best in a home that is relatively quiet and laid back, as constant changes and chaos stress him out. In order to be successful, Scooby needs someone who is patient, gentle, and active.


Good with:

*Other dogs - Scooby has met many new friends in his current foster home and plays with dogs on a regular basis, although he isn’t a dog that would enjoy the dog park, he does enjoy meeting and playing with the majority of dogs in a controlled setting

*Walking on a leash with a halti and some treats!

*Very good listener - sensitive, wants to do the right thing, food and praise motivated

Needs work on:

*Controlling his excitement - loves to jump up for attention, sometimes mouths playfully

*Introductions to new people - needs controlled introductions to new people as he is scared at first i.e. barks, standoffish, but does warm up quickly


Not good with:

*Small animals (cats, small dogs, or other critters)

*Being tethered

*Being left in his crate for long periods of time

*Apartment/Condo/Townhouse

Scooby came to Paws United Dog Rescue as a transfer from another shelter. He has been vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested, and treated with Nexgard spectra.
