Scarlett is, quite simply, a marshmallow with four legs. A 75-pound, couch-loving, belly-up marshmallow who believes the best things in life are soft places to nap and humans who understand the importance of a good belly rub. If you sit down, she will gently (and strategically) roll onto her back, just in case you needed a reminder of your true purpose.At 6 years old, this Great Dane/Pit Bull mix has perfected the art of being a calm, easygoing companion. SheâÂ€ÂTMs mostly a laid-back kind of girl, happy to lounge by your side, but every now and then she surprises you with a little burst of joyful zoomies that will absolutely make your day. Think of her as âÂ€Âœmostly chill with a splash of silly.âÂ€ÂScarlett enjoys her walks, appreciates a comfy couch, and would love a home where she can be someoneâÂ€ÂTMs loyal, snuggly sidekick. If youâÂ€ÂTMre looking for a big, soft-hearted companion who will happily trade endless love for belly rubs, Scarlett is ready to be your girl.The Haywood County Animal Services Adoption Center is located at 453 Jones Cove Road, Clyde, NC 28721. Here is a detailed overview of our adoption procedure and requirements: Adoption Application Process The adoption process begins with a verbal Q&A session conducted by our trained Adoption Counselors. This takes place when you visit our facility and meet the animals available for adoption. Our counselors are dedicated to helping you find the perfect match based on your lifestyle and preferences. Adoption Criteria To ensure a successful adoption, we have established a few important criteria: Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to adopt an animal. Identification: A valid photo ID is required for verification purposes; i.e. State, Military or Passport ID. Adoption Fee: The adoption fee must be paid in cash or by check, as we currently do not have the capability to accept debit or credit card payments. Completing the Adoption Once both you and the Adoption Counselor agree on the best furry fit for your family, the following steps will be completed: Paperwork: Our Adoption Counselor will handle all necessary paperwork, ensuring you leave with all required documents. Documents Provided: Adoption Contract: You will receive a copy of the Adoption Contract to sign, along with a copy for your records. Rabies Certificate and Rabies Tag: This document certifies that your new pet is up-to-date on rabies vaccinations. Medical History: You will receive a record of your pet's medical history, providing transparency and peace of mind. Spay/Neuter Receipt: Proof of spay or neuter surgery through the ASPCA or Haywood County Animal Services Adoption Fee Receipt: A receipt of the adoption fee payment for your records.
