Sandy Chihuahua Mix Yorkville, IL

IF you are looking for a spunky, playful, fun little girl then Sandy just may be the one your have been waiting for!! She is one of those life of the party dogs, she will play with everyone and anyone, such a happy girl. When she wants to get another dogs' attention she just hops around, gives a good poke with her nose, hops back into a puppy bow and waits for the play to begin! It is so nice to see Sandy so happy, she had been quite fearful when she arrived. Her person had given her up to a large shelter and she was so scared there she did not behave very well(like sooooo many other dogs). She settled in nicely at her foster home after checking us out, she can still be fearful at times and will cower when we go to pick her up, but she is doing much better. Sandy is just 2-3 years old and only around 8 pounds, just a wisp of a girl. She will do well in a home perhaps with another playful dog, a fenced yard would be great and older kids. Smaller kids may be too much for her. Sandy loves to be outside, she is my right hand girl when I am out gardening, always by my side. She even went swimming with us, she was so anxious to get in. Once in she wasn't terribly thrilled but did come back for another splash or two! Sandy's adoption fee is $250, plenty of supplies to take home with her as well included in the adoption fee.
