Meet Sandi in NJ - Smart & Playful Girl!

Sweet Sandi’s name is a perfect match for this Pyr mix’s adorable, sandy gold coat. Like a typical youngster, this active girl wants to play with everyone she meets! Sandi is a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly. She loves all other dogs but hasn’t been exposed to cats yet. Sandi loves being brushed, petted, and playing with her toys. Sandi is your typically happy, active, adorable and loveable pup. She is bouncing back after arthroscopic surgery to correct elbow dysplasia, and is already racing around with her foster siblings! As her breed DNA indicates, this girl is smart, eager to learn, and would do best with an active family with a male dog to match her energetic play style. A secure fenced yard would complete the picture. Sandi tries very hard to learn the rules and has a lot of potential. With the right amount of patience, training and love she will make an excellent family dog!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
