We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.

REQUIREMENTS: live in the Rochester NY area (within 1/2 hr drive) and having a physically fenced in yard for pup to safely run and play in favored. No kids under 12 in home.

My name is Sancho, a cocker spaniel/Cavalier mix, I’m 13 lbs of adorable fluff and 6 mths old and not expected to get much larger. I need lots of attention and training for my food and toy “resource guarding” but my foster mom says I’m making great progress. She chuckles because she knows I’m a good boy & I’m trying really hard. She says I’m really smart & know my commands and I love other doggos sooo much, sometimes too much Lol My foster crew is coaching me in proper play & I love love love them.
Due to resource guarding no kids under 12 should be in house. While he does not bite he does growl and try to protect food/toy. Progress has been made with this but continuing to help him learn is required.
He will be going to his adoptive home under a foster to adopt contract until his neuter is complete. You would be required to get him into our vet clinic once booked for 7:30 am, date TBD in Rochester and then pick up from rescue (3 to 4 pm) to finalize adoption at that time. For this reason we will not adopt to anyone outside our immediate adoption area. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
