Please apply at www.bit.ly/mu-adopt **<br/><br/>Meet Sampson & Delilah!<br/><br/>These two beautiful Great Pyrenees have been together their entire lives, and we’re hoping we can keep it that way.<br/><br/>Sampson and Delilah landed in an overcrowded rural shelter with little time and even fewer options. Thankfully, we were able to get them out in time. Then we discovered they were both heartworm positive — something we see far too often here in the South. But we took care of that too! They’ve completed their heartworm treatment and are now ready to start the next chapter of their lives.<br/><br/>At around 4.5 years old, these two are gentle giants with plenty of love to give. Sampson weighs about 95 pounds and Delilah is around 70 pounds. They love each other, play together, and are clearly happiest when they’re side by side.<br/><br/>We know asking someone to adopt two large dogs is a big ask. But these two are pretty special, and we believe the right family will see just how much they have to offer. There’s something wonderful about watching two dogs who already love each other continue through life together.<br/><br/>A home with plenty of room to roam would be wonderful for them, with a secure fence like all Great Pyrenees need. They've had limited indoor experience, although we checked "yes" to housebroken trusting they should learn quickly how to be good houseguests. We can speak to you more about everything we've learned about them so far after you apply.<br/><br/>We haven’t yet assessed Sampson and Delilah with cats or children, but based on their gentle personalities, we think they would do well with respectful older children.<br/><br/>These two have already been through enough. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $525 adoption fee includes adoption and transport of BOTH dogs to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.)
