Meet Sampson
Meet Sampson!
This 4 year old American foxhound mix is ready to start his search for his family! Sampson is extremely sweet and on the shy side. Don't worry, it's not a crippling shyness, he's just bashful in the beginning but quickly melts into a puddle once he knows you're trustworthy!
He loves other dogs, and doesn't mind cats.
Due to his timid nature, older children would be best for our bashful guy.
Sampson cannot be crated. He is not destructive and does perfectly well as a free-roam dog in the house, even when you're not home. His new family must understand that Sampson has major crate-PTSD and he will never be a candidate for crating.
Sampson does have some swelling around his ankles that have improved since he came into rescue. After lots of testing it was determined to be caused by a tick borne illness, but our veterinarians do NOT believe it will present long-term problems for Sampson, and if there ARE issues they predict they won't be much beyond needing some anti-inflammatory meds during periods of flare-up swelling.
Sampson has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. Please apply to meet this handsome pup at www.pettalesrescue.com
