Sammy 's Story

We are once again asking you (politely but with mild emotional desperation 😅) to help us find the PERFECT home for Sammy.
This amazing boy has now been returned twice… not because he’s naughty, but because—brace yourself—he requires walks and attention. The audacity, we know.

Sammy is basically your dream adventure buddy. He loves being with his people, whether that’s running, hiking, exploring, or just supervising your every move like a very handsome manager. He’s great with dogs, cats, kids, and even farm animals—yes, chickens and ducks included. Truly a social butterfly in dog form.
He would thrive with someone active or with space to roam (farm life = his dream job), but he’d also happily settle for a human who commits to regular walks and some quality hangout time.
He does have a slightly “wabi sabi” front leg from an old injury (he was hit by a car in Puerto Rico), but don’t worry—it just adds character. He still gets around great and lives his best life.
Perks of adopting this very good boy:
• Adoption fee = sponsored (aka FREE 💅)
• Neutered ✔️
• Up to date on shots ✔️
• Potty trained ✔️
• Crate trained ✔️
Sammy is ready to love someone with his whole heart—he just needs a human who’s ready for the commitment (and maybe a few extra walks).
If you’re interested or know someone who might be, please reach out. Let’s get this boy the forever home he’s been waiting for. 🐾

Even though his adoption fee is sponsored we still need an application ❤️

https://forms.gle/XjEc96GBPcuLvbGLA

After completing our brief online application we will talk with you to learn more about you, your lifestyle and your ideal pet so that we can match you with the perfect dog or cat. We may request a virtual tour of your home or, in some cases, an in person tour. Meet and greets are done with the foster at a location agreed upon. After a successful meet and greet, you can choose to start a trial adoption that will last up to 5 days. After the trial adoption we will either finalize the adoption or return the animal to our foster program. We have a trainer and behavorist that are part of our volunteer team should they be needed to successfully transition your new pet into your home.
