Island Dog Rescue
Our Mission
To help the underserved human and animal population in the U.S. Caribbean islands to include Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. To rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals that are abandoned, surrendered or in abusive situations. To provide humane education, community outreach and spay/neuter and vaccines services for no-cost or low cost to the communities we serve. To provide medical treatment and care to animals in distress.
Adoption Policy
There is written application and a phone interview. There is a virtual tour of the home or, in some cases, in person. Meet and greets are done generally at our farm, on neutral territory. We have a trainer and behavorist that are part of our volunteer team.
