Email it to info@hwhanimalrescue.com

Sam is a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as he is. At around 80 pounds, this handsome boy is the definition of gentle, loving, and grateful.

Sam is everything you could hope for in a companion. Hes wonderful with everyone he meets, is completely house trained and crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and rides quietly in the car. His calm, easygoing personality makes him a joy to have by your side.

Before coming to rescue, Sams life was heartbreaking. He spent his entire life chained to a dog house on a short lead with very little care or comfort. When he was finally rescued, he was severely underweight at just 66 pounds and his coat was so badly matted that it had to be completely shaved. Despite everything he endured, Sam has never let his past define him. He greets the world with kindness, trust, and a gentle spirit that is truly remarkable. Thanks to lots of love and good care, hes now a healthy 80 pounds and thriving.

Sam is also currently being treated for mild heartworm disease. The good news is that his treatment is already underway, and Half-Way Home Animal Rescue is covering all treatment costs.

Now all Sam needs is a family who will show him what its like to be cherished instead of forgotten. After spending four years without knowing the love every dog deserves, hes more than ready for a soft bed, a secure home, and people who will never let him down again.

If youre looking for a loyal best friend with a gentle soul and so much love to give, Sam is waiting to meet you. on. He is thriving in his foster home and cant wait for his forever family to find him and show him just how loved he is.
